Lock in technology?

T1 Rocky join:2002-11-15 Dallas, TX	Lock in technology? In 1999, a T1 from Verizon cost $3000 per month. Today it costs $400 per month. I bought a $3000 lap top in 2004 that disentigrated in 2 years. Why would anyone invest in todays technology long term? What a great deal!!
