Can't help with JP or their equipment, but I'd suggest you consider disconnecting the housewiring from the phone company line at the block outside of the house before using the inside wiring. We took the option of using wireless 5.8 (2 line) and DECT 6.0 phones to cover the 3 VOIP lines into our house instead.
