Re: [Services] New August 1st Bundles...

I finally got my $7 dsl discount after several calls to BS.

Yes, they can be quite rude and unknowledgeable. One of the CSRs said flat out that I wasn't eligible for a discount. Thanks for bundl64.

Don't let the turkeys at BS confuse you.

My BS/AT&T bill by itself is $90.72, so IMHO something isn't adding up right.....
I finally called them and it turns out I wasn't getting the $12 DSL discount that I was supposed to have been getting this entire time........

I had to hang up on the first CS person that I got because she was so rude, luckily the 2nd gal that I got was nice. She actually noticed that I wasn't getting the DSL discount, and sent it to whatever dept to have my bill credited for the months I went without the correct DSL discounts......

ok, i'm looking at my monthly bill, it seem bundle74 is not $50 a month. now i see that i pay an extra $1.50 a month but i get caller id. man i can't believe the customer service lied to me. i thought i was getting an awesome deals. you guy that got them to offer a really good bundle should check your bill.
The reps at Bellsouth/AT&T all work partially on commission and can lose their jobs if they don't sell enough product. They have become quite high pressure. And they really hate it when you try to lower your bill, from my experience with adding one of their obscure bundle savings.

I finally got my bun64 discount, $7 less a month for dsl with 1fr service only. I had to make about 8 phone calls, because the BellSouth reps kept playing games and outright lying that I wasn't elgible.

I think there is a policy to hide these savings from its customers. Thank goodness for this forum. Thanks.

Is any of the plans available at Atlanta? I just signed up any paid much more.....

Do you also get some rebate too? (25 for phone 75 for dsl and 125 for switching from cable) Do you have to pay for the modem?
For these of you who got great prices, anyone live in Atlanta?

Anyone gets the rebate on top of the offer?

If you get new modem, do you get it for free? Pay extra? Or free after rebate?

there is a bun64, i talked to 3 csr and two of them knew it and one didn't. the one that didn't know about it keep on saying it didn't exist so they transfer me to another csr that knew about bun64 but hook me up with bundle74 instead cause i wanted call waiting and caller id.

I just got off the phone with Bellsouth in South Florida area and was told that Bun64 is not available as an option.

Is this true or should I speak to a manager. Two CSRs told me the same thing.

I'm afraid I just don't understand what BUN64 is. I take it that its some form of DSL + local Pots. Don't know what 1FR means.

What is the real difference in total price between BUN64 and BUN67?

Given that I use minimal voice and only local, is there some really cheap VOIP, so that VOIP + BUN67 is cheaper than BUN64?
Bundle 64 is a local POTS line (Dial tone only no features aka 1FR) & DSL Ultra for $40 + Taxes/fees [you can get Xtreme 3.0 or Xtreme 6.0 DSL for +$5/+10 respectively]

Bundle 97 is Stand Alone DSL (No Local Phone Service; Just DSL) You choose your DSL Speed (Ultra/Xtreme 3.0/Xtreme 6.0) & you pay for said speed + $5 for the Dry Line [$37.95/$42.95/$47.95; no taxes as these are internet Services] Most people who choose BUN97 go with VoIP or Cell-only voice usage.

ok i just checked my ordering status on bellsouth.com and it seem it is not bundle65 like what the csr told me. it is listed at bundle74. my status said "BUN74 1FR to 2PK and Any or No LD plans with DSL"

i just got off the phone with bellsouth, they give me bundle65 but it is different from what the op chart showed. i got unlimited local, call waiting, caller id and extreme 6.0 for $50 a month. a really good deal for me since i dont need unlimited long distance so i don't have to pay the extra $10 a month for it but it seem weird because it is so different from what the op listed.

I really appreciate the posting of the chart! After some difficulties, it helped me save quite a bit of change off my already-high BS/at&t bill.

My current service is CompleteChoice, Unlimited LD, Xtreme 3.0, and Cingular/at&t 450. Even including the bundle discount, my bill was just over $140 with taxes and fees. I subtracted out the taxes and fees ($19.33/month) and figured even with the $5.00 additional charge for 3.0 I should save approximately $20/month.

I called BS/at&t and asked for Bundle 63. The rep told me she would be happy to "discuss" this bundle with me, but right off she "knew" I was "already getting the best deal" since I was "grandfathered". She said my current services came to $117/month (plus taxes/fess) and the new bundle would cost - $117/month! I asked how that was so and was told that I "forgot to add the fees". She stated that she would make a note of my call, should I decided to press ahead (my term) with the change.

I called a short while later, speaking with a very helpful young lady. She knew exactly what bundle I was talking about, said I was not nuts in thinking that I could save some money, and proceeded to tell me that Bundle 63 now includes Xtreme 3.0 for no additional charge (as well as saving me $3.84/month on Privacy Director)! The total, including fees and estimated taxes - $115.00 a month.

Moral of this post - if you think a price is wrong, wait a few minutes and call again. Sure, I gave up a few Preferred features I never used, but even if I had used them, $25/month savings eases a lot of pain.

I currently have DSL Ultra and basic phone service. So now I'm able to drop the basic phone service and just pay for the DSL?
And if I'm reading correctly, it will be DSL Ultra price + a $5 fee each month. Is that it?

I'd appreciate if someone can clear this up for me, and what I should ask for when I call to make this change.

Thanks again.
If you want just Stand Alone DSL service call and ask for BUN 97. Now some reps are saying you need Cellular (Wireless) this is not true if they insist tell them to look over tier bundle matrix or online help tools.

BUN97 gets you what ever DSL you want + $5 for an acess line. If you keep your DSL Ultra this is what your bill would look like.

Stand Alone Fast Access Line $15
Credit for Stand ALone DSL -$10

DSL Ultra $32.95

Total $37.95
