| [help] Yahoo(Rocket) Connection Fails
Hello, my father in-law uses the "rocket" to connect to the internet. Yesterday he called me with a problem that when he hits the rocket he gets an error stating "Action Canceled"
I had him connect with Internet Explorer and he can get on-line without a problem.
I found this FAQ: »SBC DSL FAQ »SBC Yahoo! DSL Version 3.1 CD Paths (for installing stuff manually) Is it ok to just re-install the Connection Management software found near the bottom of the FAQ?
I have him setup with a router, which handles the PPPoE, but he insists on using the rocket because that's the way he has always connected. The router has been in place for quite some time, so I don't believe his current issue is related to that.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve |

| I myself would make the rocket vanish. also change the icon for IE to a bunny or something else warm and fuzzy. Of course you could always ask him if he's still using reel to reel or 8track. As far as using the rocket goes, I tried it once years back, didn't like it, and went the router route ever since.

Thanks. |

| I think this is what you want ( not 100% certain if it has the rocket thing with this): »helpme.att.net/article.php?item=2006
Or to be sneaky, you could change his internet explorer desktop icon to the rocket icon, if you can find it. |
