My laptop runs way slower in Vista than XP, Vista is a lot of bloatware, M$ Needed to write a whole new OS kernel instead of grafting and piecing together the various flavors of Windows over the years. Fundamentally, Vista isn't too much different from Windows 1.0 if you think about it. Long story short, Rolling back to XP Pro and dual booting Ubuntu. Getting a Macbook Pro in 6 months.
