Ok I have a linksys router running a linux firewall that allows port forwarding for games. So do I need to forward the ports listed on both netopia modem and the linksys router? If so I know how to forward on linksys router but have no idea how to get into netopia to forward? Any ideas? Thanks again in advance to all replies!!!!!
If you are not having problems your Netopia is probably in Bridge Ethernet mode, or it might be in PPP pass-through mode which might cause some problems. The IP address to access your Netopia 2241N-006 or Netopia 2241N-VGx is 192.168.1.254. Your Netopia must be directly connected to your computer to access it.
Edit: Corrected statement that IP address for -VGx models is 192.168.1.1, the correct address is 192.168.1.254 for -VGx models, 192.168.1.1 is for -ENT model Netopias which are not made in the 2200 series.
