hi there did you manage to restore the file? I have been having a right ball ache trying to ....I am pulling my hair out Aol don't know what to do etc

Why don't you just
a) Reinstall VISTA, or "recover" all the way back to the start
b) Reinstall AOL9

that is the only solution I've seen that works.
