| reply to justin Re: Links?
Justin my company is deploying all over Jersey soon to be national using 597U & 598Us. These are all static sites (50). I am accumulating a ton of data related to real world Sprint coverage. We are concluding our BETA (boy that was fun) and moving on to final so this should be fun. I will contact Karl (who is a great guy) and see what we can do with the data when I get it all together. The results so far have not been what I expected. We have been deploying AT&T where Sprint has not been suitable. I will include that data as well. |

| reply to justin Hey Justin
It is probably to late to make this suggestion about this link, but I'll ask anyway. If this is just for links how about removing all the conversations and just have the links, maybe group them by topic with a little side note as to what the refer to. I really like the idea, because it saves me a lot of time shifting through all the other topics of discussion for what I am looking for.

| reply to justin Somebody on this forum posted this review in another thread. It's info on the Franklin CDU680. It has some nice pictures too, and info on the GPS capabilities of the unit. I give credit to whoever that is but I'm not going hunting for it again. It's lost in the 100's of tabs I've already closed. heh

2 edits | reply to W4DRA W4DRA, Your pings on the Sprint speedtests will give lower latency because you're not being routed outside of Sprint's network, therefore you're not going through as many hops. Anything below 80 ms would seem a little odd though.
Sprint.com is not hosted locally within Sprint's network, so you're not going to get much if any lower latency to it than google, yahoo, etc. |

| reply to W4DRA Are you still using the coffee can? Or a real yagi? My speeds are pretty consistent with EVDO. I find my speedtests on Sprint's site to be slightly more accurate. The latency usually reads slightly lower because, of course, it never leaves Sprint's network.
Very glad to see noone has posted a link to TestMy's speed test, as it's absolutely trash.
And how would you ever want WildBlue back, W4DRA? If it weren't for the speed tests, would you really say that browsing is bad? The lower latency more than makes up for the slight decrease in bandwidth. 200ms beats the 1500ms many WB users report. The speedtest I host shows some pretty weak results from WildBlue. |
