Why such a good review ?

So if they put this limit, why did you still rate their service so highly ??

I am a Videotron executive.

Our mission is to provide the best customer experience. We live by this. In order to ensure optimal service to our customer base, we had to put a cap on this service. Did you know that the cap affected less than 1% of the extreme customer base? Did you know that this less than 1% customer base were putting at risk the rest of the customer base by utilizing, at peak times, 80% of bandwith in certain regional clusters. This had to be stopped. We did it to ensure optimal satisfaction to the 99%+ customers who are happy with the speeds. I am sorry if this affected you, I hope you understand the business decision...

That is the most pathetic excuse, isn't your business supplying those users? put in more lines if people are using 80% of what you have, you have to grow with the market, not artificially constrain it. what happens when some of those other uses start using high bandwidth services?

Giving up your edge over the competition does not sound like a very sound business decision even if you can extort extra money out of that 1%.

That 1% have been some of your best advocates, they use and know the services, they are the people friends ask for advice from, now they are going to tell them that videotron is crap, out to screw their customers with changing service agreements to extract as much money from them for their limited services as inhumanly possible.

What we need is some clever company to come in and get some good peering arrangements and start stealing customers by offering nice symmetrical unlimited connections the way the internet was supposed to work, switching to that would be a no brainer.

Hahahaha...what a load of bullshit. Do you really believe that most people are so stupid as to fall for that load of crap...???

The cap, as is most of videotron's policies, is all about greed, pure and simple.

Don't get me wrong...it's your company, and you can raise prices as you please. But please don't insult our intelligence. Greed is and always is the motivating factor at videotron. Furthermore, everybody knows it. Your claims to the contrary make you look like a fool and a liar.

Videotron absolutely does have a good solid reliable service, with polite knowledgeable staff. But, alas, it is way overpriced.

LOL riiiight. So what about that whole thing where when you cut down the quality of a service being offered UNDER CONTRACT, you at least offer some sort of credit ?

But then again, you're not a Videotron exec as you claim, but just a random troll.
