Re: Has anybody COMPLETED porting to their new provider?

I thought I should post here regarding our porting experience out of Sunrocket/Teleblend - because I don't see anyone talking about this.

I found out today through Paetec Comm that Starnet Voice actually has my number and thats why our ports are so complicated.

Here is the circular jerk that another poster to the sunrocket forum went through:
(Sorry to post here without permission, but I thought this forum is where most posters are and this should be here too.)

That's almost funny.....I just found out today that I'm in the exact same situation with Net2Phone...they've been telling us for a month now that they were waiting for a reply from L3...Last night out of frustration, and through the LPN sites supplied here, I discovered that a co called US LEC of FL WRLN had control..Googled that co....called them up myself, was told that "Starnet" had it...went to their site which had a phone number that was disconnected but at the bottom of the site it referenced PAETEC which I also Googled and found their local division....and guess what....it is the exact same address and phone number of US LEC of FL WRLN.... called them up...again...and they confirmed that they had "our" number....the great circle route, thanks to Google, or I don't think my world would be round....:>) As far as what division, company name, etc is "really" in charge.....who knows....but I did forward the info to N2P......priceless...Now, maybe for Christmas......??
Vonage gave SR a hard time porting our number (or so they said, and that failed after 2 months) and now this....Smoke signals are starting to look good....
Now, why do I feel like a gravedigger???? ...:>)
