They left out the ISP involvement in their idealistic plan

This theory doesn't take in to account that the providers of all this upload bandwidth won't let this happen unless they can profit from it. This is just some academics that think bandwidth is free because they don't pay for it themselves.

You forget that since I pay $40 / month I can resell or give away "my"* unused bandwidth to the Internet community 7x24. I am entitled to do that because "they"** said it was "unlimited"

* "my" Since I paid for the all-you-can-eat, the entire buffet is "mine" to do as I please

** "They" typically refers to a rumor based on either wrongly interpreted or several year old marketing when connections were 1Mbps

Well I have a normal 2 meg upload and 15 meg download. I do however have QOS set and 1 meg of my upload is set for 24/7 upload to the internet.

it can be done folks. On a site I have 2 TB upload and only 500 G download. But then again I am a giver not a taker!
