Yeah, like running undersea fiber is as cheap as trenching the earth and covering it back up. Nor is it as plentiful as terrestrial fiber.

Having lived on an island for five years, I can tell you that *everything* is more expensive except sea water.

Maybe they should just run it in a trench on the ocean floor. Then you just use the cheaper terrestrial fiber. Or just run it aerial.
