You can upgrade your Norton 2006 or 2007 product to 2008 absolutely free of cost. The only criteria is that you need to have an active subscription.

@veritas.com		 That's correct. However, the other criteria is that you can upgrade only to the product type that you have installed. For example: NAV 07 to NAV 08 and NIS 07 to NIS 08.
