i have a complex issue regarding connecting two pc's that are on different subnets. I cannot change the subnets and the core router is not set up to route between them (i cannot change any settings on the network). I would like to know if there is anyway to make a connection between these two machines if they are on the same local switch?

PC1 is running windows xp. PC2 is running Win2k3 |

| 1) Ask yourself, when I get caught, will this result in me being expelled, homeless, unemployed, or all three? Then ask the proper IT admin for help. If it will 'only' result in your ISP revoking your service, how fond of Dial-up are you?
2) If, by some amazing story you did not explain, you will not be fired, evicted, or expelled, yet you can't change your own network, on the two computers, use a 255.255.255.248 subnet mask.

Networks are set up with different subs for a reason. -- What was I in Highschool ? A Ghost. |
