No way it will damage the windshield. The antenna itself probably will be damaged.

Kailua Kona, HI		 So it sounds like I can't go the automated car wash ? I e-mailed the dealer about this, As I don't have the time to manually wash my truck.

To think you need to remove the antenna everytime you want to wash it is kinda crazy....

Kailua Kona, HI		 Well the automated car washing place had a sign that stated to remove the antenna before using their service.
