 | Not Life Changing? Of course it won't be "life changing", but it'd be a heck of a lot faster than most of the broadband available. Also, just because a few servers here and there can't handle 100 meg, doesn't mean that all of them can't; after all, if you max out one website, using 28 meg of your connection, that means the other 72 meg could be used on another download or surfing...without impacting the download that is currently being worked on.
Basically I see 100/100 (and 1000/1000) as a true multi-tasking broadband service where downloads, on a single computer don't interfere with one another (since most servers can't handle 100/100)....to me, that'd be very very useful....besides, if you overkill like this, that means that most likely the speeds you're getting will be the max speeds possible (ie: limited by the server, not you).
I hope Verizon ignores what this guy has to say and deploys their service anyway; the more speed, the merrier. |
