| Fed Up with Charter!!! I have charter now and they really do suck!!! Problem is, the local phone company that is offering 3meg DSL service is cherry picking areas and not on my street yet, 2 years after they said they would be. And verizon only offers 1.5meg DSL plus ourtageous pricing on POTS. Charter is only offering 3meg service here period, no HD, no phone, only digital and basic tv also. Why? They don't have to! No competition. This is where they really suck though, being reactionary instead of proactive. They could offer us 5 and 10meg internet before the other guys do it to keep us as customers. Their problem is they wait until you switch and then try to get you back with offering inferior service at a huge price, DUH, who the hell is that dumb? And their customer service? Don't even get me started on that. I call and call only to get someone in another country that I can't understand and that has no clue what I am asking. One more thing with Charter internet, every night around 9:00pm my speed goes down the tubes, sometimes under 1 meg, I call and they say they can't see a problem in my area. I know it's because they have too many people on my node and they will never admit that. I'm just waiting for the day that my local phone service comes on my street and bye bye Charter for good. |
