Even the 2 Dems on the Committee saw this proposal as not in best interests of the country. What M2Z was trying to do was block out any competitors and get a sweetheart deal for itself. Better that all proposals be considered and that the spectrum be put out for auction.

| i have to agree. This would have been a sweetheart deal with minimal startup costs for M2Z (a company i've never heard of) - and something which would have hindered broadband development. I'm glad that the FCC rejected this proposal for what in 10 years would be equivalent to today's 300 baud modem.
