Re: OpenDNS I used a host list for a while, but some ads and ads companies can spread viruses, and some don't respond fast enough to DNS. The problem with ads is they are completely inconsiderate of the viewers. Especially ads with noise or just trashy. I use it specifically for that purpose. If ad companies realized that some people dont want to be annoyed but entertained, there would no reason for ad blockers.
