Re: Is a higher profile worth the low SN ratio?

Is there some sort of a magic trick to getting your profile raised? i would gladly bribe the person at the central office yet they don't answer the door when i knock on it. I have tried and failed at getting my profile raised. Funny when i was with sympatico i had the highest download and upload speeds on the dsl reports speed tests.

Can you either post your line stats or send me a PM so I can check into them for you?

no magic trick...you just gotta give teksavvy a compelling reasing to upgrade you. ie. good linestats.

You are very borderline with those stats. I would actually recommend downgrade in your Sync speed with those stats. If I was dealing with that line.

If your line is running and it's stable you have an angel watching over you somewhere. I'm amazed...

I would not want to play with it at all. Best to probably just leave it alone. Why push your luck....

I did i told them i have better linestats than most of the people on 5056/800 fastpath. I also told them the reason it happened was i made a mistake (the first in nine years) of phoning 310-surf when i was with sympatico. I was on ultra 5056/800 fastpath with sympatico at the time. The problem that day was a downed router in Toronto that's why i got dialup type speeds until midnight, they didn't tell me that i found it out the next day. Some bonehead put me on 5056/512 interleave for no reason that's when i made the switch to teksavvy. I figure if other people can get their line upgraded so could i. So far i have been unsuccessful or unlucky.

0 errors (although it's only been up for 9 mins mind you) plenty of room...I'd call in again and see where your ticket status is...

Just for the people that read dsl reports here is Bell's answer for an update from 5056/512 interleaved to 5056/800 fastpath. Just for the record this is from the central office on Church Street in Markham. If you also have complaints about this same central office let me know as i intend to escalate this to top level management the newspapers and have already put in a complaint with the CCTS.

Here's an update i sent an email to donat.brunette@bell.ca and got a response. I told him the truth my brother and sister-in-law both worked high up in Bell in executive postions. My sister-in-law was director of sales for Ontario. I told him she can still sway things one way or another for Bell as she still has numerous contacts from years past. I hope they can sway things for me or i'll be talking to her soon.

I have an even more compelling reason now. I am the first one ever to put in for a speed increase and get a speed decrease?
