Getting a wrong slot selection , Says I'm using #3 and #4.
When I know for a fact they are in #1,#2.
Is it reading backwards ? |

I don't own an MCP73-based system (650i here), but there's a chance that they're just labelled per how nVidia implemented the chip as #3 and #4 -- or it may be that the silkscreening on the mainboard that says #1/#2 is actually incorrect. Take your pick. 
You might send Frank Delattre an Email stating what you're seeing though. |

The new version reads them in 3/4. |
