| There have been a number of threads on this topic, including one started by me about a year ago.
If you live in the city, or in a not brand-new subdivision don't hold your breath. In spite of all the talk it doesn't look as if it is showing up here in the city any time soon.
AT&T seems to be living in a strange world where only new construction in very affluent areas gets it.
I mean, they have 17 million DSL subscribers and just celebrated their 100,000th U-verse subscriber. That's a glacial rollout.
In spite of their much trumpeted FTTN (as opposed to the FTTH infrastructure that FIOS uses) strategy, it doesn't appear as if the situation will change any tine soon.
I've had it with Comcrap too, but in my area, as far as TV is concerned, they are the only cable outfit available, no WOW or RCN in this neck of the woods.
