New York may not have options. <br>Sounds as if you got a number thru Viatalk they usually I think get them thru Level3. Levlel3 may need a call. It is an indirect party and hates customer calls as deals way above that level. Some may respond. Plus I think post have been asked on this type of thing.<br>Usually some carrier deals with this. The loser or the winner. VoicePulse should have just as much chance with this. The best porting is thru cellular. That is their bread and butter.]]></description>

That's the only way I can explain it.  I called VT tech support and explained my port was denied because of an addy mismatch and they said it was because my site addy (not billing addy) was a Queens Village, NY addy (someplace I've never lived). Then if not a current port is this a ported number to Viatlk or Viatalks. <br><br>The ports should go thru Level3. <br><br>Viatlk pays Level3 a major carrier. Major carriers do what is by paperwork and documented. Viatalk did not stop this port. So something is slightly wrong. More info.<br><br>Edit never said you are bashing just info as how a simplistic port works. Plus more info on where the number came from. Address stuff seems to just happen:) Many players in a port.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/919139"><b>NjOlds</b></A> : I submitted my number transfer to port to VoicePulse on 08.13.07 and this past Friday I get an e-mail from them saying the port did not complete because of and address mismatch. Hmmmm...  I checked ViaTalk's portal and made sure I copied the address exactly as they have it which is the same as where I live.  So what's the problem?  Maybe they didn't change my address when I moved? But how could that be the portal has my current address!!??  <br><br>Anyway, I made the 53 minute phone call to VT (caller 28, 27, 26, 26, 26, 24, 22, 28, ...........15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 9, 14, 14, 14, 14, 12, 10, .............3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1..... OK you get the point right?) and asked what happened.<br><br>Me: My port to VoicePulse failed because there was an address mismatch, can you tell me why please?<br>VT Rep: Sure, what's your # and address?<br>Me: xxx.xxx.xxxx @ XXX Ave. Bronx, NY.<br>VT Rep: OK, hold please... Ah, I see the problem, we still have your previous address XXX ST. Queens Village, NY.<br>Me: That's not even remotely my previous address.  Can you check again?<br>VT Rep: Sure, hold please...  Are you sure because that's what's in our system.<br>Me: Um yeah, I lived in NJ before...<br>VT Rep: Well, I'm sorry but that's what we have.  Do you want me to change it?<br>Me: OK.  But why does the portal have my correct address?<br>VT Rep: That's just your billing address.<br>ME: OK, just change it.<br>VT Rep: OK, the change will become effective in 30 days.<br>Me: Huh, you sure?<br>VT Rep: YUP...<br>Me: No THANKS.  I'll figure it out. BYE<br><br>So at this point I call again just in case...  Another long wait...  Same thing different rep. this time a female.  So, to make a long story kind of shorter, I called VoicePulse and gave them the address VT had for my site address and all should be well.  <br><br><i><b>Edit: I just read my post again and it kind of sounds like I'm VT bashing but I'm really not.
