I've seen a few posts in the bellsouth forum saying they have dialtone with stand alone dsl.

They never came up with anything to prevent pairstealing during the unbundled loop era, better be ready to be on the phone if dsl sync goes away ;)

The "marketing preferences" page is available anytime.
You can get to it via the portal page "member center" link.
At the member center page look for the "Edit Personal Information" link.
The "View Billing Statement" link can be handy too.

Depending on where you live, you probably have access to one or more of those providers who may be able to get you DSL even when AT+T isn't willing to.

A smart thing to do if you haven't already is to post in the AT+T Direct forum.
