New HD Channels in the Philly Area

I live in Bucks County and I received notification that National Geographic, Food, HGTV, NFL, and A&E HD channels will begin on or around Sept 25. They are also adding WE: Women's Entertainment and Fuse to the digital classic channels.

Finally-some GOOD news from Comcast. I hope N/E Philly receives these channels also on that date.

I guess I can safely assume that Comcast will add those channels soon here too?

I mean, they have/will have it in the areas around us (Pennsylvania, S. Jersey)

Patspub are you happy now?

I wish our area had Food & HGTV HD. Fuse and WE are needed too since we don't have them.

I guess that's the difference between my system and yours. That extra 120 MHz you have over us is killing our area!

We're 750 MHz and still waiting.........

and waiting.......

All this waiting makes me want to switch to DTV, but they don't have the Indian channels my parents want.

Hey Boomer,

Greets from Doylestown! Glad to see Comcast is finally adding some new HD channels finally! FiOS has been kicking Comcast's HD lineup lately!

I am realyl excited to get NGCHD! Now for Discovery HD and I will be set for now! I don't expect that one anytime soon though.

Thanks for the news!

Don't worry about fios offerings. I just switched from them and they are missing some key features. HD On Demand and other On Demand offerings. It is good to have some competition to keep both companies on their toes.

I am wondering if SF/SJ bay area will be next in line to get Food HD, HGTV HD on Sept 25. There was a PR release from comcast awhile back that these networks are coming September. On that same date comcast is adding moving c-span 2 to their digital classic tier and adding c-span 3

"Cypers" I won't be happy with comcast until they add the "Boomerang Channe":) There is no reason why we don't have this channel.

This is GREAT news! I'm in Lower Bucks on Bensalem system. Finally some new HD channels, we've had the room since June when they removed 2-3 analogs, and as Cypher made me aware, we are an 870mhz system.

When I moved my billing cycle got moved to the 15th of the month, I hate it(after being the 1st of the month for years..)

Will keep an eye out for these streams in the next couple weeks, for "testing" sometimes they are unencrypted for a little bit.
