Also as a ham radio operator. I must point out that even the National Weather service uses Ham radio to communicate with storm spotters. Here in St. Louis there call is WX0STL . Radar as advanced as it is just does not give them the clear picture of whats going on. They have a good idea but not for sure. We must protect the airwaves for this kind of emergency communication.
