| GrandCentral to Callcentric
I'm trying to find someone that is successfully forwarding a GrandCentral number to a Callcentric number.
In my tests, I can't do it because DTMF are not recognized. I have to answer the call with my mobile and than transfer to Callcentric using the * key. Then everything works fine.
But I can't answer the GrandCentral call with my Callcentric account.
If you have that configuration, I'd like to chat with you.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know what is going on, really. There something missing in my installation and I do not know what it is.
Anyway, thanks. |

| I'm using Linksys ATA and Grandstream phones connected to an Asterisk system.
They both fail.
Weird thing is, if I call a bank, for example, and need to key in my bank account, it works perfectly! I tried all types of DTMF in Asterisk, but it's NOT working.
If I answer the call on my cell and transfer to my ATAs using the * key feature of GrandCentral, everything works fine. Very intriguing. |

I got a free PSTN number from IPKall and set it to my Callcentric SIP number, and then forwarded my GrandCentral number to the »www.ipkall.com/ number, which rings my Callcentric phone. The only SIP network GrandCentral seems to support directly is the Gizmo Project. |

| Hi guys
Thanks for the help
On Asterisk, all trunks and users are rfc2833. Just checked.
Grandstream phones rfc2833 as well.
Linksys PAP2, DTMF is in auto.
Please do not forget that DTMF works with every other system I tried, banks, airline companies, you name it. But does not work with GrandCentral. |

| reply to Ricci It works fine for me, but I don't use Asterisk. My SPA-2000 registers directly with the Callcentric server. Perhaps you could temporarily remove Asterisk from the equation and see if it works then?
Another thing that I find helpful is to register my GrandCentral number and Callcentric URI with e146.org. Then, anyone who uses the SipBroker dialing plan or the e164.org database for outgoing calls will bypass GrandCentral and call your URI directly.
Just a quick note about this, though. e164.org will make a test call to your GrandCentral number before your registration with e164.org is complete. Because of the options that GrandCentral gives you when you pick up the phone, you have to accept the e164.org call from GrandCentral FAST. If you're not fast, you'll miss the confirmation code. I would recommend registering another (non-GrandCentral) phone number with e164.org first so that you know what to expect. |

My Home # -> GrandCentral -> IPKall -> My SIP Number
Thing is too many people know my home phone number to go and tell them it changed (or I'd just tell them that I changed my number to the GrandCentral one). I don't know for sure, but I believe that the SIP number has something to do with not being able to use DTMF properly |

What protocol are you supposed to select from the dropdown? (i.e., SIP, TEL, MAILTO, etc). I know it probably isn't SIP or MAILTO, but what about TEL? |

| After you log into e164.org, go the the Phone Numbers tab, and click "Add". It'll ask you for your area code and local number. Enter those, and click "Next>>". Select "No" for the IVR selection on the next page, and click "Next>>". Enter your SIP URI on the next page, and click "Next>>". I think that's it. After about 15 minutes you'll receive a phone call with a confirmation code. You have to be quick to accept this call if you're using GrandCentral or you'll miss the code. |

Yep, you got it. If you also have a Non-GrandCentral phone number, you might want to register it first in order to know what to expect. You can use the same SIP URI for both phone numbers. |
