Nice speeds, I am guessing you have Rev. A? (Mine was only Rev 0) |

These tests are with barely two bars (-93 to -95 dBm) I noticed quite a jump between a one bar test and test with two bars. I have an outdoor antenna coming so hopefully this will get me into a good solid two bars or maybe even three. With the limits from verizon not sure I want it too fast. |

| From Garden Grove, CA using the USB720 modem with the extension cable (Plugged into only 1 USB port) and VZ access manager. These are the fastest speeds I have seen since getting Verizon Broadband Access in March.

| reply to anon1 Man, This is the first time I have tested my 8830 tethered connection. It does not seem slow, but compared to your speeds I am dragging. Is it because I can only get Rev. 1 speeds from the BB?

Happy with Verizon's BBand service, Verizon wireless in general. Some incompatability with newer Dell (D620, D630) laptops' NIC and internal wireless cards under WinXP - but disabling them both completely solved problem with minimal inconvenience.
I saw 680kbps up / 560 kbps down today. No complaints. |
