For Wildcatboy

Thank you for allowing me the use of your Forum. It has some interesting threads.

For geographical and political reasons I must post via anonymous relay, but anyone interested enough to e-mail me will be able to find me.

Best regards,

Chaim

Unless Chiam is in China (my sister lives in China and they are very strict about what you can and cannot say via the web) or another country that tracks internet usage more closley than the United States. I suppose BLTSOB actually means he/she does not care............

This thread is a perfect reason why I think ALL (I don't care who reads this, LOL) anonymous posters should be banned!

PS, I don't care too...

PPS, I like your opinions on KAV, Pulpy, I just have a problem with Anonymous Posters based on past experiences with posters that, well, I'd prefer to keep anonymous..

Jim

May I have an orderly and civil answer to my question. Just what does "signing up" have to do with anything. I can enter any info, into as many accounts, coming from as many ISP's, with as many IP's, as I please. Please tell me you all can't be that naive. On a "security" forum, no less!

Well, for one thing, there are quite a few features that anonymous posters don't have access to. Putting aside anything to do with "identity" (which we all DO know can be meaningless on a forum), you are missing out by not registering.

Oh NOES, StraitShoot See Profiledon't banish us! We anonymous Geezers don't want anyone finding us and stealing our AARP discount card...

I'd say OP is Russian heritage, Jewish, likes Seinfeld and uses Firefox. I don't have more than five minutes to spend on such stuff, so will back out. Besides, Tuneraider See Profile has discovered more than I did in a brief search

Maybe it's just me, but I'm more troubled by some of the responses by signed up members in this thread, than I am by the anonymous posters.

Same here. Based on this observation then, this thread is a perfect reason (I don't care who reads this LOL) why we should ban all registered members and make this forum anonymous only.

No offense, but that is a bad idea!
Trusting/listening to some(all?) anon poster(s) in a Security forum?

Recipe for disaster for ALOT of people looking for help.

I have confidence in a couple people here, while others I think should be shot.
I know who is who... because they *ARE* registered users and NO ONE can post as them - with relative safety.

All anons? I won't listen to none of y'all!

EDIT: As this forum is - AS IS, this is a great place to send people who are looking for help with a Security problem.

If we go All Anon... watch this place collapse.
*I* sure won't be suggesting anyone come here looking for help by "Joeblowsky" Anon Poster(s).
