3 iPhones = too rich to care, right?

who has 3 iPhones? that means they dropped almost $2k for the phones plus have a monthly bill of $200+ just for cell phone service.

you'd think they wouldn't notice the bill for $4800.

but don't you see, people with more money than brains just buy at whatever cost up frot, and then bitch and moan when the price drops or they don't like the amount of their bill.

Personal responsibility has been replaced by bitching.

So AT&T, detect this and stop it

So, why doesn't AT&T detect that the bill is N times larger than the user's normal bill, and send a txt message to the user warning them as such? Seems like a duh to me. Maybe even let the user define N on their account page.

Simple answer boys and girls.

If AT&T had their *$&#@ together, Data roaming would be turned
off by default.

We do. If a user has a very high amount of unbilled charges that the user's payment history does not support we cut them off. Calls are made and the situation is dealt with. It helps prevent situations just like this as well as stolen devices and other fraud. The only problem is when the cell user is roaming many carriers do not report how much they use for a few days. So what that means is Swedish cruise lines wont tell us if you have called China for hours at a time until your cruise is almost over. I don't know international regulations but in the USA carriers have up to 60days to report roaming activity per the FCC.

Re: 3 iPhones = too rich to care, right?

Because someone has an iPhone does that automatically make them a spoiled rich whiner that deserves to be insulted on internet forums?

Are you rich? Compared to most people in third world countries you are. Does that mean that they should hate on you because you have more than them?

A device which does not allow the user to disable a feature which will automatically incurr costs or an unlimited data plan that does not adequately explain its limitations in simple terms to the consumer is the problem. Not the consumer.

I don't understand the negativity and hate speech of people against others over something as unimportant as whether they have an iPhone.

That would be true, except the iPhone does let the user disable those features.
