Thanks for your reply.

However, I think I found out the reason. THe Grandstream HandyTone 286 has compatability problem with my Linksys WRT54GX version 2 router.

So voicestick might again choose the wrong model of ATA...

I am using a WRT54GL w/ dd-wrt firmware installed and it is working fine.
