Doctor OldsI Need A Remedy For What's Ailing Me.Premium,VIP join:2001-04-19 1970 442 W30 kudos:18 | Until a actual invoice is seen, this story should be removed There is no proof that the total bill will increase by $5.00 dollars or if there will be an itemized charge that shows $5.00 of the new billing going to the fee, but not actually increasing the original total since the email can be read two different ways.
I still believe in benefit of a doubt, until all the facts are actually in place. Otherwise it is speculation at best. -- Whats the point of owning a supercar if you cant scare yourself stupid from time to time?

I remember a year or so ago when I saw you had posted some info on my service (at the time with EarthLink), it helped resolve my issue.
You seem to know quite a bit about the company and it's policies...more than a lot of the outsourcerers. Lol!
On another note, there will be a lot of hugs and tears come Friday as a lot of my pals are seeing their last day at The Link in Atlanta. -- The only place where Success comes before Work is in the dictionary.

I wasn't really looking, so I never applied and they have never made any offers. I just read what they have available on their web site and in their Knowledge Base.
Yes, it will be a sad day when the last US employees are gone.

Vernon N: Thank you for the account verification information. I was able to verify your account. x.x@earthlink.net: Great. Vernon N: I see that you have Norton services on the account and that is the reason you are being billed $5.95 per month. x.x@earthlink.net: I never requested Norton. It just recently showed up. Sounds like some marketing gimmick. Vernon N: I have inactivated the Norton service on the account as of today. x.x@earthlink.net: Thank you. So I will be credited the charges of $4.17, and $5.95? Vernon N: Let me check this information. Vernon N: Ok, I have refunded $10.12 to your master card account. Please allow 7-10 business days for that refund to show up on your credit card statement. It takes a few days to process the refund on our end, then it will take a few days for the bank to put it through to your credit card.#PFR#/DUC/Gen/CreditCardRefunded x.x@earthlink.net: Thank you. There is one more charge I am curious about. 10/26/07 Oct 26-Nov 25:+Ntwrk Acc Chg x.x@earthlink.net: It is for $5.00. I have never been charged for this before. What is it? Vernon N: I will let you know the NetWork access charge. Vernon N: EarthLink is charging a fee similar to the ones that local phone companies charge their customers. The purpose is to recover the costs associated with connecting customers to the telecommunications network. x.x@earthlink.net: So you're raising my rates by $5 to provide the same service as before? Vernon N: Yes, you are correct. x.x@earthlink.net: This is not what I signed up for. It was $xx.xx/month. Vernon N: Yes, you have DSL + Home Phone services for $xx.xx per month. But we are charging for the Network access charge for all the customer's from September, 30th. x.x@earthlink.net: Every month you will charge an additional $5 for "accessing the network"? This is permanent? Vernon N: Yes, it is permanent. x.x@earthlink.net: Well then I guess there isn't much I can do about it.
Except look for some other provider.
