| No because once the infastructure is in place all you have to do is let the market progress in the direction of falling bandwidth prices. At this point Verizon, TWC, Cablevision, AT&T, and whoever else is out there providing service just needs to flip a switch. Getting from 10Mbps to 15Mbps is a major hurdles because Docsis 1.1 can't quite handle it and 2.0 is pointless to implement since it won't do much for downloads and will soon be replaced by Docsis 3.0. once Docsis 3.0 is in place it is kind of like being in the days of when Docsis 1.1 was all the rage and 1Mbps was a gargantuan speed. You saw how cable raised speeds rather regularly from 1 to 2 to 3 to 5 to 7 and now some have 10. The same will happen once that jump to Docsis 3.0 occurs. |
