Re: [northeast] New Install tommorow.. I think that judging how fast a web page will come is subjective at best and no way to tell if the bottle neck is on your side, the servers side, or the ISPs side right away.
I sit on a 9/4 hospital/university connection all day at work and it really boils down to how bogged down my computer is at the moment and how slow the adservers on that page are doing (this more than anything has slowed down my websurfing). Other than that i can't tell the difference between home and work surfing (i'm on comcast still, but they are laying the fiber for fios as i type).
But i do think you will find a faster, better, more consistent download experience with verizon depending on how overcrowded their networks get.
