I have a short cut to Irfan View Thumbnails, FastStone Image Viewer and SnagIt Catalogue Browser(which I use the most) on my desktop. For a quick view at one picture I use Microsoft Picture Viewer and I integrated Vicman's Photo ToolKit with it when I want to make simple fixes.

For simply veiwing an image then it has to be Microsoft Picture Viewer (included in the OS).

Why would you need more to simply view it?

Still use Microsoft Picture Viewer; so far haven't really had a need to use anything else.

IrfanView hands down...been using it for several years now. I tell everyone I know to use it and I make it the default viewer on my computers. It portable as well:

From the IrfanView FAQ:

Q: Is there a portable IrfanView version (for USB sticks, CDs etc.)?
A: Yes, EVERY IrfanView version is portable. You can:
1. Copy your existing/installed IrfanView folder to USB stick (recommended), or
2. Use the normal installer and install IrfanView to an USB stick folder, or
3. Use the ZIP version and unzip to an USB stick folder.

I have been using PolyView for many years. My primary uses are for slide shows and photo printing.

It can be found at »www.polybytes.com/.

Excellent poll fourboxers See Profile...thanks!
(And I'm a little late for the party..been away for a while).

Anyway, as many others have voted, I really like IrfanView...have used it for years.

However, I also use:
AcdSee
Photoshop
Microsoft Picture Viewer
Microsoft Paint
Paint.NET
Picasa
And a few others I can't think of right now.

Well, you get the idea.....I just like to play.
