The [POLL] is now (((closed))) - voting is over

Thanks everyone for their participation..and to fourboxers See Profile for putting it all together

This was a fantastic way to start off the 2008 Member Choice Preferred Programs polls!

*Note: Our new FAQ will be added/linked here (and also in our main forum header) after being tallied and created.

Excellent poll fourboxers See Profile...thanks!
(And I'm a little late for the party..been away for a while).

Anyway, as many others have voted, I really like IrfanView...have used it for years.

However, I also use:
AcdSee
Photoshop
Microsoft Picture Viewer
Microsoft Paint
Paint.NET
Picasa
And a few others I can't think of right now.

Well, you get the idea.....I just like to play.

I have been using PolyView for many years. My primary uses are for slide shows and photo printing.

It can be found at »www.polybytes.com/.

IrfanView hands down...been using it for several years now. I tell everyone I know to use it and I make it the default viewer on my computers. It portable as well:

From the IrfanView FAQ:

Q: Is there a portable IrfanView version (for USB sticks, CDs etc.)?
A: Yes, EVERY IrfanView version is portable. You can:
1. Copy your existing/installed IrfanView folder to USB stick (recommended), or
2. Use the normal installer and install IrfanView to an USB stick folder, or
3. Use the ZIP version and unzip to an USB stick folder.

Still use Microsoft Picture Viewer; so far haven't really had a need to use anything else.

For simply veiwing an image then it has to be Microsoft Picture Viewer (included in the OS).

Why would you need more to simply view it?

I have a short cut to Irfan View Thumbnails, FastStone Image Viewer and SnagIt Catalogue Browser(which I use the most) on my desktop. For a quick view at one picture I use Microsoft Picture Viewer and I integrated Vicman's Photo ToolKit with it when I want to make simple fixes.

ACDSee
I have ACDSee 9 on my work computer but I still prefer my older version ACDSee 4 I have at home.

Irfanview does a good job and I advise it to all my friends who do not want to buy a software.

I also clicked FlipAlbum. I don't use it to view images but it makes really nice Photo albums that I can give on CDs to friends. I use FlipAlbum Pro 5 which is also old now.

Voted Irfanview. It's configured with Photoshop as its external editor. My email client (Forte Agent) now displays images in emails, but I still prefer Irfanview as an external viewer for that.

For fast viewing of thumbnails in folders, I use WinXP's thumbnail view.

MS picture and fax viewer will automatically show image mime types which have no extension, but it's not my choice and I probably should figure out how to fix that.

I also have Adobe Bridge which came with Photoshop, but I never use it.
