And the other problem....

Is this list can't get access to information from private companies, like Cox. Cox is at least in the top 5.

One thing to note though is the gain in CenturyTel....usually the ONLY choice for a given area because they serve the sticks. Up 21.1 percent, I think because they started allowing COs that have always been DSL capable to start serving customers....not because of some network upgrade.

Cox doesn't make it hard to find, though. At the end of the 2nd quarter they had 3.5 million High Speed Internet customers per »phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zht···1032065&

:

They have moved into some larger area over the last 5-8 years. Two areas in Missouri I can think of are just west of St. Louis(St. Charles County) and the Columbia area. I came across a report that stated around 80% of customers are capable of receiving DSL. I give them props for this, beings they are mostly a "rural" carrier. They have also rolled out ADSL2+ providing copper customers with "up to 10" down. New subdivisions in Missouri are getting fiber to the home with a 15 down tier available.
