Huh?

What is unlawful about it? Spectrum is owned by the public, if a company wants to use it they have to enter a contract with the government elected by the people... though we may think the FCC is stupid they're all we've got, people don't care enough to make them an election issue.

I know there's lots of weird laws out there, but as long as we're not violating Verizon's statutory rights, can't we make whatever contract we want?

sure the spectrum is "owned" by the public but the FCC is owned by the Publicly Traded Corporation...
