Re: Can't access google.com?

That's certainly an odd one.

The discussion thread at apple is "temporarily offline", so I can't see the comments from others. FYI.

Do phone support - good folks there. Really weird issue, but maybe they'll have a bright idea.

You might be having DNS issues.

try changing your dns to 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.3 Then Flushing your DNS cache. (»www.tech-faq.com/flush-dns.shtml)

Summary

1. Unable to access any google.com domain via Wireless connection.
2. Able to access google.com domain fine over Ethernet.
3. Able to access google.com domain from computers already logged in previously. For instance, if the computer was logged into gmail.com and "remember me" was checked, then that computer could still access gmail/google wirelelessly. (cookie?).
4. Zoom X6 Wireless ADSL modem with firmware 2.1.5.
5. WPA security.

Seems like others are having issues to!

Ok, some further exploring has isolated the problem to the Zoom X6 Wireless Router.

All my computers are getting access via wireless connection. These computers timeout when trying to access the google domain. BUT, when I connect the computers directly to the router with ethernet cable, it works perfectly.

Very, very bizarre.

The Zoom X6 Wireless Router is running firmware "Zoom X6 Ver 2.1.3-00".

I disabled all the router firewalls (Intrusion protection/Advanced Firewall) and it still didn't work. Flashed with the latest 2.1.5 firmware and no go. Did a hard reset... No go.

There is definitely something wrong with the router.

That ip address seemed to work.

Weird though. Seems like other people on dslreports is having similar issues on other networks.

Google seems to be ip blocking!

No problems here either. I live in google.

Did you somehow block an IP in your firewall?

Try this IP for google 72.14.207.99

For the past two days, I can't seem to access google.com from the sonic network. I can access everything else just fine. From my traceroute output (attached below), it seems that my trace times out when reaching the google network. Anyone else have the same problem?
