AT&T West → Outlook Express Pop Mail with Yahoo Outgoing Problems

No computer whiz here by far, so proud I figured this out wanted to share.
I was able to send and receive without a problem, then suddenly my outgoing pop with yahoo stopped working.
Went to control panel, windows firewall, exceptions, add program, outlook express, ok

voila, working

yay me !!

Good find. So many times people will overlook their firewall when they have connectivity problems.

Now, about email: POP is short for, "Post Office Protocol", which is an email retrieval (incoming) process. Actually they are up to the third revision, now (POP3). Outgoing email uses SMTP, or "Simple Mail Transfer Protocol".
