| Charter's area in Nor Cal is Stanislaus Co. Turlock, Ceres
The junk cable in this area has had many owners over the past 17 years. Marcus, Sammons, Charter, and now Wave Broadband. I finally went with Dish and stayed with AT&T DSL after having Charter unable to tell me what their left hand was doing when their right hand is busy.
The cable service was lousy and the broadband service was slower than slow and their tech support had nothing but excuses. Seeing a Charter truck in my small sub-division at least once a week shows me it still is crap for broadband, basic cable and HDTV. -- "A friend is someone who knows everything about you and is still your friend."

| Yeah! Those trucks only roll when there is trouble! They never roll trucks to hook up service, or do upgrades. The ONLY time that you see a charter truck is when they roll on trouble calls. What I'm trying to say is that there are other reasons for Charter to roll a truck out than for just trouble calls. We can't just turn on the service from the office like the LEC can. |

3 edits | reply to dbuth Charter also serves Shasta (Redding, Anderson, Cottonwood, Mt.Shasta City, Palo Cedro) and Del Norte (Crescent City) Counties in NorCal. I don't know why they say "lone" system in NorCal, Shasta and Del Norte Counties are two different markets.
Edit-To me, Stanislaus County is Central California, NorCal starts at SF and Sacramento |
