Value is relative.
300 channels of TV for $75/month may be better 'value' than
100 channels of TV for $60/month
But if those last 200 channels have nothing that I want to watch/see... then they have no value to me, and I don't see myself wasting money on it, even if it is 'better value' per channel.
This is similar to me paying an extra $10/month for higher speed Internet (and probably many others as well). Perceived value is different than actual. If that extra rate does not percieve to have any useful impact to the user, then why pay more ?
