1 edit | People block out ads in everyday life. Everyday activities:
-flipping channels during commercials -fast forwarding through the commercials on a VCR -choosing not to pay attention to ADs on the street -throwing flyers straight into the recycle bin -switching radio stations during commercials -arriving at a movie theatre after the previews/ads
No one ever complained about people doing the above. Now why should ad blocking software be any different? Nonsense.
If advertisers are losing money - then so be it. The world is littered with advertisements everywhere we go, it needs to stop. |

said by TheMG:-flipping channels during commercials -fast forwarding through the commercials on a VCR Broadcast flag! Soon you will only be able to decode the TV feed on a receptor that respects the broadcast flag. No mute, no fast forward or pause during commercials. Our next stop will be an infrared sensor that will pause the TV if you go away to pee. The commercial will resume when you get back. No more commercial skipping with fallacious nature break excuses
said by TheMG:-choosing not to pay attention to ADs on the street It will be your employer's responsiblity to quizz you every morning on the ads you saw on the road. Fail the test 3 times, and you're laid off, and send home, where the ad quizzing will be assigned to your neighborhood watch representative. You will only be able to apply for a new job once your neighborhood watch rep certifies that you have passed the test for 30 consecutive days.
said by TheMG:-throwing flyers straight into the recycle bin We will introduce auto DNA analysis in trash bins, as well as a RFID chip in flyers. Once a flyer enters the trash, it is moved to a specific compartment, and your DNA is stored for later analysis. Punishment is same as above.
said by TheMG:-switching radio stations during commercials The broadcast flag mentionned above will be applied to car stereos.
said by TheMG:-arriving at a movie theatre after the previews/ads The movie theatre door will automatically lock before the commercial starts. There will be ad displaying screens in bathrooms as well, so that you don't loose any precious ad time while peeing during Steven Seagal's big fight

| said by LilYoda:said by TheMG:-switching radio stations during commercials The broadcast flag mentionned above will be applied to car stereos. I rarely listen to the Radio, don't get that many stations where I'm located (other than Country Ugh.) Thus I make my own Mix CD's and never even touch the AM/FM button on the Car Stereo.
They can't regulate listening to a cd that I made myself, and they also can't choose to insert commercials between tracks because of lack of radio broadcast/signals in my area. Guess I'm off the hook. -- ~There is no Normal or Abnormal... Just Diversity. Member of Team Helix - Join Us? |

It only takes 1 phone call from us to car stereo manufacturers to introduce an auto-switch to buffered commercials between tracks of your so called 'mix-tape'
And don't think about keeping that old standard car stereo, new cars will have a HDCP connection to speakers only, and those speakers will only accept a car stereo that conforms to OUR standards. All old cars brought in for service will be retrofitted with HDCP speakers only (at no charge to you, of course). The cost of upgrading your car stereo will be left to you, though. We will provide a $40 coupon to redeem for the purchase of a new standard car stereo.

| lol, Okay. I give in. I'll just have to wait for a hacker to make a way to bypass the protection. ( As always, if its protected, it will be broken into, or however that saying is... XD hehe ) -- ~There is no Normal or Abnormal... Just Diversity. Member of Team Helix - Join Us? |
