| DSL Corrected Blocks - crappy connection
Link Details | Link Stats |
After getting U-Verse installed my pings to my favorite game server has steadily taken a nose dive. Pings are double to triple what they used to be. I was on ATT DSL before and never had any problems.
My current network setup is the 3800 2wire, and 1 DVR box connected to that via coax. Then my linksys wrt54gs running dd-wrt is connected via ethernet and in dmz plus mode. Then all my computers and wireless devices connect to the dd-wrt. The 3800 RG has usb connection turned off, and the wireless connection is turned off. The 3800 and wrt are on different subnets.
See some modem stats above. The DSL corrected blocks seems all out of whack. Is this par for the course? How about the SN, noise, etc?
Now a line test: »/linequality/nil/2281579
To reset the modem do you just power cycle it, or is there a certain procedure? How resetting about the set top boxes? |

1 edit | This is what mine looks like.
Your corrected blocks should not be that high. I don't think that has anything to do with latency though, as I still get high ping times.
To restart the modem, simply follow this link: »192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=A08
To restart the STBs, just press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. |

| reply to bone135 The correctable blocks are high, but they do not pose a big problem as the errors can be corrected. When you start getting significant number of uncorrectable blocks is when you start having issues.
However at somepoint the vdsl will automatically retrain and this should give you better line conditions. |

| You can check the diagnostic pages without actually running the diagnostic on the RG by going here: »192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=J04
I am not sure what exactly running the diagnostics (»192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=B03) does though. |

Is that true that you can get that Bandwidth from the VRAD? |
