The issue with Ahnold was more like the last bastion (given the veto power) in blocking Telcos from doing even more of "whatever the f we want".

It's clear most the Senate Democrats were bought out by the telcos long ago. The lack of consumer protection, and corporate adulation has long become tiresome.
