Who would buy a "euro" iPhone in early November knowing that within as little as two months the 3G version would be available?? Dont get me wrong, I am sure people will line up to buy this but the timing is terrible. Most 1st generation products are released at least 12 months (if not 18+ months) before their successor comes out so that the company can make enough profit. Releasing a newer, better, faster version a short time afterwards is terrible planning on behalf of the providers. If nothing else, they should simply have waited the few weeks (with no release) and then dropped a 3G iPhone on everyone. THAT would have created some serious demand, and no cannibalization of their own product line either..... -- я люблю Денди! |

I accept all responsibility but I'm never going to be an earlier adopter of apple products again. And considering this was my first major apple purchase, I don't think I will be as excited to buy anything else from them in the future. |

 | I think most Apple fans expected Apple to simply make the cell phone market like the iPod/Macintosh markets... i.e. no big price decreases.
Apple missed a chance to change the cell phone market for the better (from a vendor perspective, anyway). |
