First early iPhone adopters get news that their phone dropped a whopping $200 in price within months of purchase. With this news their iPhones have now become both outdated and overpriced. Ouch!

I am glad to hear they're coming out with a 3g model though. That will be a killer combination.

How is Apple's pricing/feature/release schedule any different than any other piece of hot technology of recent times?

That computer you're using right now that you bought 3 months ago. Outdated & overpriced. Congratulations, you just proved my point.

Right. And to think I actually waited in a line for hours to buy said computer. NOT!

I disagree. They were dumbasses to wait in line to buy that overpriced thing before any of the things that have happened since then. This only amplifies the dumbassedness.

The jealousy I see here is unreal.

EVERY piece of technology is continually losing its value. For that matter, that includes cars, trucks, boats, etc....

My values are none of your business. You might want to spend your money on a depreciating asset like a boat, or a new laptop, or a CD of your favorite artist.... there's no difference. It's an entertainment expense, and at $399, it's cheaper than MOST hobbies.
