Re: Ok guys, where do you get your pizza in CT?

John's Best in New Milford. It's on Rt 7 (south of town) where the Boston Market used to be. The non-pizza items are good too.

Italia Mia used to be good, but it changed hands and its gone down hill quite a bit. The original guy was there for 30-40 years.

Sals in South Windsor was suppose to be a NY Pizza House then I find out they're not. The Pizza slice look like NY slices but the taste is not the same. Again none of them can get New Style Pizza to taste right, better off driving to the The Bronx or Yonkers area just pick one up at a real Italian Pizza place. Or better yet venture to Bayridge Brooklyn and get it there! When I am in the NYC area I usually just get 2 or more pies and stick it back here in the deep freezer.

Heehee, the best pizza in CT is at Casa de Pete, a clip joint if I've ever seen one

Anne, a dyed-in-the-wool woman of Polish descent, nonetheless makes a grilled pizza to die for...

I live in Norwich and in my opinion La Stellas pizza is the best. They have New York style pizza the slices are huge and it helps of course that the owner always gives me a discount

Ok guys, that time is coming again: I might get to visit CT for a couple weeks in a month or so.

Where are the best old world style Pizza Margharita to be found. You know, the ones make with sauce, Buffalo Mozzarella, and basil leaves?

My favorite home town pizza is Little Rendezvous in Meriden. Brick oven, coal fired, fantastic. Any place that can survive over 50 years selling ONLY pizza is doing something right.
I also like Illiano's that recently opened in Meriden. There are other's in Middletown, Lyme and other towns along the coast.
We have several Illiano's here in New London/ Waterford Very good.

It's right next to Rite Aid- take exit 89 off I395, turn left, at the stop sign at the end of the road, look left and do a U-turn, and it'll be right there. I heard the one in Putnam is very good as well.

I just tried a place in Moosup called "Pizza Pizzaz", and their food is really great! They have both Greek and Italian style crusts, as well as a whole range of specialty pizzas. Worth a visit for sure!
Hmm I didnt know there was one of these in Moosup. I have been to one in Putnam with that name. Where In Moosup was that? As I liked their pizza and I am just 2 exits away

I am partial to No Anchovies in Cromwell (tastes great, only issue is with store bought paper plates when eating in) and Brickhouse Pizza in New Milford (the sauce is just barely sweet and the pizza is just slightly overcooked, just how I like it).
