People PLEASE do some research here!!!! You are talking about TDMA, not CDMA! CDMA is what both Verizon and Sprint use, and it is the largest deployed network in the US.
Why should we "people" need to do this "research" of which you speak, when "we" have you? Sorry to have been the source of some disappointment. But now you've spelled it out and "we" all now know the difference, without having had to do the research - so, thanks!

That was preposterous! Utter Nonsense! Totally unsupportable drivel! You can't be serious!....Um, what did you say?

You really think CDMA will be around in 10 years? Cell phone providers are now charging customers an EXTRA monthly fee of roughly $5 (plus tax) to use phones with that technology in the hope that they can get them to quit using them, and further, claiming that the CDMA infrastructure is becoming more and more expensive to maintain an effective level of service for that very same now-dwindling population of users (caused, largely, by their own outrageous pricing tactics).

Which will require another 5-10 years and an additional $50 mil to install...

2 Years, and then another 8 to be fully finished? Uhhh.....

Anyone feel a problem with this I doubt that current Wireless Standards will be in use at least on a major scale 10 years from now with the rate networking equipment is being expanded. 10 Years ago we were still running Dial Up and Laptops didn't start having network cards standard for a bit after that.
Again, please read the article. This is related to cellular networks. You know, GSM and CDMA? Those will still be in place for well more than 10 years. Even the data supported by these technologies will be easily upgradeable with a simply hardware switch if necessary.
