We've noticed the same problem here for the last month or so. I'm guessing they've oversold the service recently and haven't added any upstream bandwidth yet to cover it. That's just a guess. I'm on the 10/1 plan and have been for a year now. Not had major problems until this summer. Here's some numbers:


Downstream Channel
Lock Status Operational
Modulation 256QAM
Channel ID 3
Provisioned Rate 11273 kbps
Symbol Rate 5360.537 Ksym/sec
Downstream Power -4.5 dBmV
SNR 34.3 dB


Upstream Channel
Lock Status Operational
Modulation 16QAM
Channel ID 1
Provisioned Rate 1049 kbps
Symbol Rate 2560 Ksym/sec
Upstream Power 40.3 dBmV

It would be GREAT to get this figured out. I've worked with techs via the phone to no avail.
